Congratulations again Zach & Caitlin. I am more than happy to have been a part of your love story and capture one of the best day's of your lives together.
Zach did an amazing job in planning the perfect proposal. Zach and Caitlin are from Florida but came down to Atlanta for a quick vacation. Zach reached out to me to ask if I'd be available to capture the moment. I was more than glad to do it (so glad I missed class lol). We initially wanted it to be done at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens but the gardens closed too early for their arrival time into Atlanta. We decided Piedmont Park because it was close by and I knew it was a romantic place, popular for proposals and there were a lot of good spots for photos.
Yesterday was more than beautiful. I am still overtaken by love. This is the first proposal I am personally witnessing, and the amount of love that was present was too overwhelming. I am still overwhelmed, happy, in love, I can't even imagine how happy Zach and Caitlin must still be if I'm this happy for them.
Of course, this was a surprise to Caitlin. I got to the park before them and told Zach where I was. He told me what they were wearing so I was on the lookout. I saw a couple with their description walk past me, and after a few minutes I started walking in their directions. I pretended to be a photographer taking random shots of the park. When I finally caught up to them, I asked them both if they didn't mind posing for a few photos. Caitlin was surprised. She insisted she was not dressed for a shoot (girl, you looked sooo amazing) but Zach encouraged her. I then told them I wanted to get photos of just Caitlin (that was Zach's cue). He stood back as I turn Caitlin away from his direction and got on one knee (cue tears of joy).

I told Caitlin she had to stay at that angle so I could get the perfect angle and she was more than kind to stay still. Next, I told her to twirl around with her eyes open while I capture each frame. In the middle of her twirl, she turns and sees Zach. She was blown! She couldn't believe it. And of course, she said yes!!! (ugh I was in tearssss)
Her reaction afterwards was priceless: "Oh my God! Is this real? Do you guys know each other? How do you guys know each other? We have to plan a wedding now!?"
We stayed a bit longer to take a few more photos of the newly engaged couple. I posed them on the grass, and while I was taking shots of them, Zach was telling Caitlin all that went into the planning of this special moment. He had even picked the ring from the jeweler that Caitlin had been eyeing BEFORE she told him about the place (a man that knows his woman!!)
This was perfect! Caitlin was surprised, she said YES, and the evening ended with a lot of love, laughter, joy and kisses.
I wish Zach and Caitlin the very best in life. I wish you both nothing both love and laughter all the days of your lives. May your love never die and may you journey together be everything you wish and more.
Congratulations guys!
